Pelican App: Financial education app with AI assistance

About the project

Pelican is a financial education app designed for people who don’t know much about finances. The app focuses on understanding money, savings, and investments to achieve financial freedom before the standard retirement age and help users build a secure financial future. In this case study, we will cover the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage of the app.

The challenge

The primary challenge was to ensure that users remain engaged with the app over time. Financial education can be daunting, and users may lose interest if the app fails to captivate them with its content and features.

Implementing advanced AI technology effectively and to provide personalized financial advice and investment suggestions was a technical challenge. The AI needed to continually learn from user data to offer relevant insights.

Ensuring the educational content remains up-to-date, high-quality, and relevant to the users' financial goals is an ongoing challenge. The app must continuously curate and recommend resources.

Objectives

#1

Empower users to take control of their financial future by providing them with AI-assisted financial education and investment guidance.

#2

Successfully scale the app to reach users in different countries, adapting the content and features to meet diverse financial needs.

#3

Empower users to take control of their financial future by providing them with AI-assisted financial education and investment guidance.

Step 4

The outcome

We created a web app on Vue framework on frontend with directus as an admin panel.

The app is still being developed, with a new “Learn module” and new ways of AI insights.

In further stages of the development we focus on data given by analytics - how much engagement is there on each screen, how do people want to use the app etc.

Stay tuned for more information!
