Our Experience at UX Meetup Bielsko-Biała
Astrid Szalbot and I had the pleasure of attending the second edition of the UX Meetup Bielsko-Biała and we can’t wait to share our experiences with you. It was not just an opportunity to gain new knowledge, but also a chance to meet interesting people from the industry and share our own insights.
Career Planning Tips: Learning from Ula Mitas-Drozdowska
The first lecture we had the pleasure of attending was conducted by Ula Mitas-Drozdowska. Ula shared tips on career planning in the field of UX. We learned about tools that can aid in professional development, as well as the role of self-awareness on this journey. For us, as Rocksoft employees, it was an inspiring lesson on how to progress on our career path, especially since most people in our team are young, passionate individuals eager for growth.
Understanding Information Architecture: Insights from Karolina Parysz
Karolina Parysz imparted crucial knowledge about information architecture in UX design. Her comparison „as you make your bed, so you must lie on it” illustrated the importance of precise mapping and planning. During the networking session, we also shared reflections on the role of a designer in a team, which gave us inspiration for our internal processes.
Crafting Narratives: Agata Szargot on Building an Effective Portfolio
Agata Szargot provided invaluable tips on building an effective portfolio. A portfolio is not just a collection of works, but a story that tells who we are. Agata emphasized that this story must be engaging, genuine, and above all, purposeful. Visual presentation is, of course, a key element of this message.
In conclusion, I’d like to express that the second edition of the UX Meetup in Bielsko-Biała was a source of inspiration and an opportunity to forge valuable relationships. We extend our gratitude to the organizers for creating such exceptional occasions, which foster our growth in the UX realm. We are eagerly looking forward to the next edition, where we will be ready to both learn and share our knowledge.
