Two motivated students joined Rocksoft in April.
With guidance from a dedicated mentor, they learned how to build websites from scratch.
They worked with WordPress, Astro, REST APIs, and hosted their projects on Netlify. They also learned how to solve problems using AI tools and technical documentation.
This March, two high school students from Ustroń - Igor and Maks - joined us at Rocksoft for a month-long internship. Under the guidance of their mentor Szymon, they got a real taste of what it’s like to work in the IT world.
At Rocksoft, I developed many programming skills. During my internship, I worked with Astro.js and Tailwind to create my backlink website.
I improved my web development and IT skills. I learned Astro.js and Tailwind CSS from scratch, and I got to know how to use AI and documentation to make my work more effective.
I would recommend an internship at Rocksoft to all students who want to learn a lot of new IT skills with the help of a great mentor.
During my internship at Rocksoft, I had the opportunity to learn new skills in web development and design using Astro.js and Tailwind.
I built my own website from scratch in Astro, with the most notable features being native dark mode and an optimization system featuring dynamic cache clearing for the API fetching functions.
I would recommend this internship to anyone eager to learn modern web development and expand their skills. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you're not ready to put in consistent effort throughout the internship.
Igor and Maks spent the internship building their own websites using Astro, where WordPress served purely as a headless CMS. They learned how to work with REST APIs and used that knowledge to create fast, static pages generated through Astro and hosted on Netlify.
Throughout the project, they faced technical challenges, but consistently looked for solutions on their own—using documentation and AI tools to figure things out. It was great to see them take ownership of the process and gain real, practical experience with modern web development tools.
