There's a region in Poland called Podbeskidzie. You might think this is going to be a geography lesson. But it's not.

I'm not going to tell you about the beautiful landscapes or the ski centers that, by the way, are completely full right now because it's winter school holidays in Poland.

Instead, I'm thrilled to share that Rocksoft recently became a member of the Beskidzka Izba Gospodarcza (Beskid Chamber of Commerce).

Rocksoft's local engagement in the previous years… or not really?

Last year was Rocksoft’s 10th birthday. But we never really engaged with other businesses locally on a bigger scale. We had our clients abroad and we worked for them almost 100% of the time. But in the last few years we have seen more clearly that we have something to share with the local community, and we can receive even more!

To be clear: we have not been separated from our local community. We have had an internship program since 2018 and have been a part of Startup Podbeskidzie organization since 2022. But we have not invested much time and effort in these relationships, and that is what has changed.

It must start with a breakfast

On January 16th, the New Year's IT Breakfast at the Książnica Beskidzka marked a significant gathering for the Podbeskidzie IT sector. Local IT professionals came together to discuss the future and unique characteristics of the IT industry in our region. The event, welcomed by the mayor of Bielsko-Biała, Jarosław Klimaszewski, highlighted the growing significance of IT in our city and the strategic efforts towards making Bielsko-Biała a beautiful place to live and work. This convergence of minds and ideas underscored the vibrant synergy within the local IT community, setting a collaborative tone for the year ahead.

One of the attendees at the event was Piotr Czyż, CEO and founder of Rocksoft. He shared his reasons for joining the Beskidzka Izba Gospodarcza, a network of local businesses that supports the economic and social development of the region. He said:

"We've always been interested in solid alliances that help each other to focus on a bigger thing. We perceive the year 2024 as a year of collaboration and strengthening the bonds within the local business community. We are proud to be part of the Beskidzka Izba Gospodarcza and to take an active role in shaping the future of our region. Our membership in the Podbeskidzie IT Cluster plays a significant role in that direction as well. We believe that by joining forces with other IT companies, educational institutions, and local authorities, we can create a better environment for innovation, education, and business development in our area."

The gathering underscored the importance of digital transformation, networking, and fostering a strong business and IT ecosystem in Podbeskidzie. As Rocksoft continues to engage and contribute to our local community, events like these are vital in shaping a future where technology and collaboration drive regional growth.

Reflecting on 2023 and looking forward to 2024

Last year was a milestone for Rocksoft. It was filled with hard work, achievements, and significant progress in all our projects, thanks to our extraordinary team.

But wait…

We have covered that part already, haven’t we? Read our last article: What are my predictions for the year 2024? Let’s explore by Piotr Czyż.
